About The Position
FM Industries is a premier manufacturing solutions provider specializing in build to print, precision machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal spray coatings. They provide customers with leading-edge support from prototype to production. This role is responsible for setting up and running repeat or proven parts with minimal direction, utilizing shop paper procedures, DNC communications, and inspecting parts to maintain statistics. The machinist will also read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ work experience
- Knowledge of CNC programming and G & M code
- Extensive knowledge of accepted inspection practices
- Demonstrated ability at operating computer numerical control machines
Nice To Haves
- Enrolled in or vocational education or four years formal apprenticeship preferred
Responsibilities
- Set-up and running repeat or proven part(s) with simple to high complexity with minimal direction from area Lead or Supervisor
- Utilizing shop paper procedure including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling and non-conformance related activities
- DNC communications upload and download tool program
- Inspect and measure parts to maintain statistic
- Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications
