About The Position

FM Industries is a premier manufacturing solutions provider specializing in build to print, precision machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal spray coatings. We provide customers leading-edge support from prototype to production. The Machinist, Lathe 2 position is located in Livermore, CA, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. As a CNC Lathe Machinist 2, you will be responsible for setting up and running repeat or proven parts of simple to high complexity with minimal direction. You will utilize shop paper procedures, including updates, signatures, stamps, counting quantities, labeling, and non-conformance activities. This role also involves DNC communications for uploading and downloading tool programs, and inspecting and measuring parts to maintain statistics. Reading blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications is a key part of this role.

Requirements

Minimum three to five years’ work experience
Knowledge of CNC programming and G & M code
Extensive knowledge of accepted inspection practices
Demonstrated ability at operating computer numerical control machines

Nice To Haves

Enrolled in or vocational education or four years formal apprenticeship preferred
