This position's basic function is to finish grind threads on all rotors to size, index, form, and finish as required. The role also involves drilling axial holes, cutoff, and counterboring as needed, as well as grinding end faces on idlers. The machinist will work with minimal direction, producing quality ground rotors safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include inspecting sizes, index, form, lead, and finish of threads, deburring sharp edges, checking pump parts for burrs and fits, assembling per drawing, and testing per specifications.
