Requirements

  • 3+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong blueprint-reading and dimensional inspection skills.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to perform machine setups and make machining adjustments as needed.
  • Understanding of shop mathematics, tolerances, and machining principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
  • Selecting tooling, fixtures, and work-holding solutions for efficient and accurate machining.
  • Performing machine adjustments and making process corrections to maintain tolerances.
  • Inspecting finished parts using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Assisting with troubleshooting machining and production issues.
  • Performing routine preventative maintenance and supporting TPM initiatives.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Supporting continuous improvement efforts and helping train less experienced team members.
  • Collaborating with production, engineering, and quality teams to improve processes and product performance.
