Machinist II
About The Position
Dover Precision Components (DPC) is seeking a Machinist II to produce machined parts using a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) lathe machine. This role involves studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). The Machinist II will also check SPC charts for frequency of checks, gauging, and measurements. This position requires basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience and may require vocational or technical education. The role operates under moderate supervision, where problems are typically routine but may require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures. Communication involves conveying information that requires some explanation or interpretation.
