Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum 3 years proven experience in CNC Machine Operation
Experience in programming with G code required
Demonstrate a working knowledge of understanding blueprint requirements and ability to interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
Reliable transportation
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively manage time, multi-task, and pay close attention to details
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Capable of following directions
Take responsibility for achieving production efficiency, quality of product and reports discrepant material immediately
Demonstrate customer focus by seeking out, understanding, and responding to the needs of both internal and external customers.
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate openly and honestly with others.
Solve problems proactively and contribute to continuously improving the process/product.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods

Nice To Haves

CNC Machine Tool schooling or relative experience preferred
Forklift experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Setting up, operating, and maintaining a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
Reading and interpreting work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine machine setup, type of material or part, quantity, and finish dimensions.
Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the program language to identify possible errors and edit as required to improve finish requirements.
Creating and modifying programs directed by Engineering or Management for program development purposes.
Assembling and operating CNC machines, including 5-axis, to meet desired specifications.
Installing and aligning machine accessories, such as cutting tools, work positioners, plates, fixtures, and shields, using hand tools and measuring instruments, or coordinating information into computer control panel.
Manipulating machine controls, such as buttons, switches, dials, levers, and pedals, to regulate and adjust cutting speed and feeds.
Making necessary offsets to maintain print/sketch tolerances and demonstrating a thorough understanding of tool pressure and wear.
Measuring dimensions of finished part, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators, or check fixture.
Trimming, sanding, and drilling parts using shop equipment.
Performing daily/weekly operator maintenance on machine equipment/tools (oil, clean, and inspection).
Accurately executing PCS (Process Control Sheets) and providing feedback when revisions are needed.
Assisting Engineering with the implementation, creation, and maintenance of PCS.
Documenting actions by completing production and quality logs as needed.
Accomplishing organization goals by actively exploring opportunities to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. (SQDC).
Training others by openly sharing information, knowledge, and expertise with the team.
Completing job assignments as directed by Manufacturing Manager.
Attending meetings, trainings, and participating in audits as directed.
Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Complying with all company rules including company safety policy and all federal, state, local, and other safety regulations and practices.
Using personal protective equipment and devices provided for machinery, equipment, tools and processes, when defined in PCS, Company Safety Policy, Job Safety Analysis or Management direction.
Reporting all unsafe conditions, accidents and injuries immediately to management.
Actively participating in 6S and lean activities as outlined by the Company.
Maintaining equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following Company instructions.
Maintaining continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Storing and maintaining tools, equipment and gauges as defined by company standards.
Keeping work area clean and organized to company standards/expectations.
Daily cleaning and sweeping of work area, tools and equipment.
Emptying trash and waste as needed.
Removing personal items from workstations.
