About The Position

The Machinist II - Shipping role handles parts, pumps, materials, and supplies throughout receiving, storage, and shipping operations. The role includes processing and recording materials, maintaining organized work areas, and following instructions and technical documentation. Other duties may be assigned by leadership.

The associate regularly stands and walks, uses hands to handle items, reaches, and talks or hears. The associate occasionally sits, climbs or balances, stoops, kneels, and crouches. Regular lifting or moving of up to 30 pounds is required; lifting or moving up to 50 pounds may be required on rare occasions. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Use mathematics with charts, tables, measuring instruments, and scales.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Define routine problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Interpret basic technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds; may rarely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Required vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Unload, load, receive, unpack, stack, store, handle, locate, issue, and deliver parts, pumps, materials, and supplies.
• Record, identify, mark, and preserve materials; use the ship-off system; and prepare and distribute shipping records.
• Follow verbal and written instructions and work from drawings, setup cards, charts, and tables, with or without job tag instructions.
• Maintain records of locations, quantities, issues, dates, and related information using a manual or data collection system.
• Keep the work area, bins, racks, machines, and equipment clean and orderly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
