About The Position

dormakaba is seeking a Machinist II based in Indianapolis, IN. The Machinist II is responsible for performing machine setups and tool changes and making adjustments, as necessary. The position also provides training to lower-level machinists. This position is available on Third Shift (9:30PM – 6:00AM) with a base pay range of $23 hr. - $35/hr. Mandatory overtime as needed. $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Extensive experience (operating, setups, tool changes, etc.)
Understanding of: shop math, blueprint reading/comprehension
Experience using precision measuring instruments
Ability to perform advanced quality inspections

Nice To Haves

SAP or MRP system knowledge
Documented manufacturing education/training
An understanding in the application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and similar quality control concepts
Computer proficiency
Lean skills
Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Responsibilities

Operate machine according to standard operating instructions
Operate machine(s) safely & communicate any problems which arise to the supervisor/lead person
Perform machine setups, tool changes, and make adjustments as necessary
Monitor, maintain, weigh, and safely add chemicals as required
Ability to operate/run multiple machines simultaneously
