About The Position

Caterpillar Remanufacturing is seeking a Machinist I to support the Reman Drivetrain team in West Fargo, ND. This role involves operating various machine tools and equipment to accurately machine final products and assist in the development of new products and processes. Caterpillar provides all necessary tools and equipment. The position emphasizes supporting sustainable solutions and contributing to a circular economy. Requirements

Minimum 4 years job related experience in a manufacturing environment.
High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

Use precision measuring devices to effectively machine parts.
Use blueprints, gauges, torque measuring devices and/or other equipment to ensure conformance to quality specifications.
Set-up, adjust and perform operations with close tolerance and finish requirements on standardized parts.
Conduct pre and post inspection on all machined parts.
Plan and make difficult or new setups with necessary equipment.
Assist in the development of work instructions.
Perform preventive maintenance as required.
Assist in identifying issues and initiating corrective action processes as necessary.
Perform 5S Audits.
Perform Safety Stop Audits observations as required.
Participate in the CI/PID Process.
Perform any duties or tasks that may be assigned to promote cross training or support for various areas of the shop.
Follow the Caterpillar Production System (CPS) Standard Work Sheets.
Other duties as assigned.

Follow established facility safety policies, safe job procedures and hazardous risk assessments and using the proper Personal Protective equipment for the specific job being performed.
Work with a variety of employees throughout the day to effectively communicate needs and to perform job related tasks.

Interface with plant management, supervisors and production personnel.

Benefits

Hourly Pay Range: $24.33 - $30.97
2nd shift will receive an additional 7% night shift premium.
