About The Position
FM Industries is a premier manufacturing solutions provider specializing in build to print, precision machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal spray coatings. They provide customers with leading-edge support from prototype to production. This position is for a CNC Horizontal Machinist II who will set up and run repeat or proven parts with simple to high complexity with minimal direction from area Lead or Supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ work-related experience
- Skilled setup machinist for the Mazak6800 required.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of Machine Tool Technology program preferred.
- Enrolled in or vocational education or four years formal apprenticeship preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for DNC communications upload and download tool programs
- Program, set up, and run all facets of work assigned for Mazak6800.
- Provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to operators and lower-level machinists as required
- Ensure an accurate router accompanies all work orders
- Inspect and measure parts to maintain statistical process controls charts
