About The Position

This role involves setting up and operating CNC lathes to meet daily production and quality requirements. The machinist will follow company quality control standards, including in-process inspection and documentation, and must model safe behaviors. Responsibilities include monitoring the machining of metal parts to print specifications, adjusting programs, and performing offsets. The role requires the ability to interpret blueprints, set up machines, edit offsets within programs, and perform tool offset adjustments to machine specialty bearings. The machinist will also perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines, inspect dimensions of machined parts (including threads, inner diameters, outer diameters, lengths, widths, and undercuts/grooves), and inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers. The ability to read and interpret engineering prints, make decisions, communicate effectively, work well in a team, and be a quick learner is essential. The employee must be able to give, receive, and follow written and verbal instructions in English and communicate job-related information to others. This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), requiring the incumbent to be either a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or have refugee or asylee status.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Must have at least five years of current CNC lathe setup experience.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, setup machines, edit offsets within programs, and perform tool offset adjustments as required to machine specialty bearings.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines.
• Skilled to perform inspections of dimensions machined, including threads, inner diameters, outer diameters, lengths, widths, and undercuts/grooves.
• Skilled to inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering prints.
• Ability to make decisions, communicate effectively, and work well with others in a team environment.
• Must be a quick learner.
• Ability to give, receive, and follow written and verbal instructions in English and communicate job related information to others.
• Must be either a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident [“green card” holders] or have refugee or asylee status.

Nice To Haves

• 10+ Years Experience Preferred.
• Formal CNC training experience preferred.
