Set-up, adjust and operate conventional and/or CNC machines to fabricate required parts. This role involves studying blueprints, sketches, drawings, or other provided information to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and set-up requirements. The machinist will prepare the correct material for machining, select the most appropriate tools, and calculate and set controls for machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit programs. A key responsibility is to run the first piece, make adjustments as needed, and ensure the part meets print specifications. Proficiency in navigating and entering data into the TSE ERP system is also required.
