Set-up, adjust and operate conventional and/or CNC machines to fabricate required parts. This role involves studying blueprints, sketches, drawings, or other provided information to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and set-up requirements. The machinist will prepare the correct material for machining, select the most appropriate tools for the assigned tasks, and calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow and depth and angle of cut or enter commands to retrieve, input or edit program. Running the first piece and making adjustments as needed to ensure the part meets print specifications is also a key responsibility. Proficiency in navigating the TSE ERP system and correctly entering data is required.
