About The Position

Onto Innovation is seeking a CNC Machinist to support the manufacturing and development of measurement equipment for the Semiconductor and Photovoltaic industries. This role is based in Semilab SDI, Tampa, FL, and the Machinist will report to the Machine Shop Supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous machine shop experience
• Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English
• Highly self-motivated individual with an eagerness to learn the machinist trade and to take initiative in both solo and teamwork environments
• Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-discipline environment
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Must have own tools
• Ability to learn and work on the fly
• Basic math and Geometry skills
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Works well with others
• Machining: 7-10 years (Required)

Nice To Haves

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Running machine operations on a vertical mill and/or lathe
• Experience with conversational programming and Acu-Rite controls
• Manual Machining background
• Deburring, sanding and cleaning of machined parts
• Running the machine shop chop saw, grinder and band saw
• Fixing and creating parts with only verbal instructions
• Preparing parts for coating operation
