The Machining Supervisor – 1st Shift is responsible for leading and coordinating daily machining operations to ensure production requirements are achieved safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Davis Machine quality standards. This is a hands-on shop-floor leadership position responsible for providing daily direction to machinists and production employees, monitoring workflow and priorities, addressing machining and production issues, and holding employees accountable for safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and performance expectations. The Machining Supervisor works closely with Operations, Engineering, Programming, Quality, Planning, and Human Resources to ensure the shift has the people, equipment, tooling, information, and support necessary to meet production commitments.
