Williams International is seeking a Machining Intern to join its team. The company develops and manufactures jet engines for military and commercial aircraft. The intern must be currently enrolled in a machinist certificate program at a Utah Technology College, such as OWTC or DTC. Completion of some coursework is preferred but not required. Applicants must be at least 18 years old when the internship begins; prior machining experience is not required, but technical aptitude is necessary. Interns must maintain enrollment of at least 20 hours per week and a 67% progress rate at a Utah Technology College to remain in the program. Interns may work part time or full time, from 20 to 40 hours per week. Work hours and shift depend on openings and the student's preference. Williams International will pay tuition for students offered an internship if they need assistance. Starting pay is at least $13.94 per hour, with increases as the student progresses through the program. Students may be eligible for full-time employment after completing as little as 900 hours of coursework. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, effective interaction with team members, customers, and management, and the ability to read, understand, and correctly interpret manufacturing requirements. U.S. citizenship is required. The intern is accountable for product safety and work quality, including the elements defined in the company's Quality Policy.
