About The Position

We are excited to announce that Kingsbury will be enrolling up to 2 internal Machining candidates for the Machinist Apprenticeship Program to start this Fall 2026! This program combines structured on-the-job training with classroom instruction to help participants develop advanced manufacturing skills while progressing toward a long-term career in machining.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Machinist team members must be employed full-time with Kingsbury, Inc. for a minimum of one year to be considered for entry into the apprenticeship program.
  • Must be in good standing, including satisfactory performance and no active disciplinary actions under the progressive discipline policy.

Responsibilities

  • Gain experience operating and supporting manual and CNC machining equipment, including Milling, Turning, Drilling, Cut-off processes, and more.
  • Apply precision measurement and inspection techniques, including verifying part dimensions using measuring tools and reading technical drawings.
  • Setup, operate, and adjust machine tools including selecting fixtures, tooling, and materials.
  • Develop knowledge of materials and metallurgy, including testing materials and understanding heat treating processes.
  • Participate in related instruction coursework through Fox Valley Technical College, developing foundational knowledge in machining and manufacturing principles.
