About The Position

The Machine Shop Support role at Alexandria Industries is responsible for ensuring the quality and timely fulfillment of customer orders. This position involves operating machinery, performing quality inspections, and supporting various machine shop functions to meet product and customer design specifications. Requirements

• 1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow instructions on manufacturing orders and blueprints to ensure components meet product and customer design specifications.
• Perform quality inspections using precision measurement devices to ensure all parts meet specifications.
• Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders by reviewing manufacturing orders to verify internal and external customer specifications.
• Ensure all quality practices are being followed.
• Set up and run equipment to make modifications to aluminum parts.
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet customer quality specifications.
• Ensure proper deburring, so no burrs or sharp edges are on any parts.
• Inspect parts to ensure no nylon residue is left after running through equipment.
• Ensure parts are assembled according to customer specifications.
• Accurately punch and stamp parts according to customer specifications.
• Package orders based on customer specifications.
• Meet delivery schedules to ensure customer service and satisfaction.
• Operate CNC machines as needed and perform all tasks safely and responsibly.
• Provide machine shop support, including deburring, tumbling, packing, assembly, punching, and bending.
• Perform basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning chips and monitoring coolant levels.
• Follow company initiatives in 5S, quick-response-manufacturing (QRM), and safety.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other shifts.
• Maintain department and company performance and production goals.
• Operate manual machining equipment as needed.
• Cross-train within the machine shop to learn and develop skills on a variety of machines and equipment.
• Perform all other related assignments as required.
