About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting machine shop operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in fulfilling customer orders. The position involves operating machinery, performing quality inspections, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The individual will also be involved in basic machine maintenance and cross-training within the machine shop.

Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Word/Excel.
  • Ability to create work instructions.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions on manufacturing orders and blueprints.
  • Ability to perform quality inspections using precision measurement devices.
  • Ability to set up and run equipment.
  • Ability to ensure proper deburring.
  • Ability to ensure no nylon residue is left on parts.
  • Ability to ensure parts are assembled according to customer specifications.
  • Ability to accurately punch and stamp parts according to customer specifications.
  • Ability to package orders based on customer specifications.
  • Ability to operate CNC machines.
  • Ability to perform basic machine maintenance.
  • Ability to follow company initiatives in 5S, QRM, and safety.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, team members, and other shifts.
  • Ability to maintain department and company performance and production goals.
  • Ability to operate manual machining equipment.
  • Ability to cross-train within the machine shop.
  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • A resume is required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety is the number one priority and promote a safe work environment.
  • Read and follow instructions on manufacturing orders and blueprints to meet product and customer design specifications.
  • Perform quality inspections using precision measurement devices.
  • Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders, including reviewing manufacturing orders, ensuring quality practices, setting up and running equipment, inspecting parts, ensuring proper deburring and removal of nylon residue, assembling parts, punching and stamping parts, and packaging orders.
  • Meet delivery schedules to ensure customer service and satisfaction.
  • Operate CNC machines as needed in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Provide machine shop support, including deburring, tumbling, packing, assembly, punching, and bending.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning chips and monitoring coolant levels.
  • Follow company initiatives in 5S, quick-response-manufacturing (QRM), and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisor, team members, and other shifts.
  • Maintain department and company performance and production goals.
  • Operate manual machining equipment as needed.
  • Cross-train within the machine shop to learn and develop skills on a variety of machines and equipment.
  • Perform all other related assignments as required.
