About The Position

Hendrick Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to lead its Tool Room, Tool Service, and Punch Departments. This hands-on leadership role supports tooling efficiency, reliability, production, and continuous improvement. Requirements

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering, or Journeyman Tool and Die Maker certification.
• 5–7 years of experience in a tool room or machine shop environment.
• Strong knowledge of punching and blanking dies.
• Proficiency with CAD and CAM software.
• Experience with CNC and conventional machining and grinding techniques.

Nice To Haves

• At least 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience.
• Experience with Wire EDM.
• Experience with heat treatment processes.
• Experience with fixture design.
• Experience developing and implementing standard work practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a strong safety-first culture.
• Manage daily operations of the Tool Room, Tool Service, and Punch Departments.
• Supervise, train, coach, and develop department personnel.
• Improve tooling quality, reliability, and production efficiency.
• Develop and implement tooling concepts, methods, and standards to reduce costs and increase productivity.
• Oversee tool maintenance, new tooling development, and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with production and support departments to troubleshoot tooling issues and minimize downtime.
• Manage tooling inventories, department budgets, and purchasing requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and standardization efforts throughout the department.
