Machine Shop Manager
About The Position
The Machine Shop Manager will be responsible for rotor and turbine repair as well as supporting the staff of machinists. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing rotors and turbines, overseeing shop operations, assigning work to skilled subordinates, coordinating repairs, providing mentorship and training, and writing instructions and job scopes. The manager will also operate programmable and/or conventional machines and tools such as lathes, milling and glass bead machines, electric hacksaws, band saws, sanders, drill presses, grinders, large machining equipment, and welders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with Machining (Lathes, Mills)
- Experienced in Rotors and Turbine repaired (Required)
- Comprehensive knowledge of machine shop operating techniques, custom machining methods, and leadership
Responsibilities
