About The Position

This role is for a Machine Shop Maintenance Mechanic on the 2nd shift. The position involves performing general maintenance on CNC Lathes and CNC Mills, troubleshooting and repairing various plant equipment including forklifts and forging equipment, and ensuring the proper functioning of machinery.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of basic maintenance in a machine shop preferred
• Ability to demonstrate good sound mechanical maintenance knowledge
• Must be able to operate a forklift and lifting devices
• Welding experience: Stick / TIG / MIG
• Must be able to follow instructions and have the ability to manage a range of priorities
• Must possess knowledge of plant equipment, utilities, buildings, and grounds

Nice To Haves

• Must be able to communicate both in writing and orally as it relates to the job
• High School Diploma

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance of CNC Lathes and CNC MIlls
• Troubleshoots and repairs plant equipment machines such as forklifts, lathes, forging equipment among others
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoist, cranes, hand tools, and power tools
• Repairs or replaces defective parts
• Lubricates and cleans parts
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments
