Requirements

• High School or GED
• Any previous experience.
• Ability to obtain Crane and Forklift Certifications by the end of the probationary period.
• Must be able to provide valid I-9 documentation to verify identity and employment eligibility, such as a U.S. passport, permanent resident card, or a combination of a state-issued ID and Social Security card or birth certificate.
• Ability to work well in a team setting, as well as independently.
• Ability to multitask and perform duties simultaneously.
• Ability to follow established safety, quality, and production protocol.
• Ability to work under stress in a high tempo environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs disassembly, cleaning, inspecting, preparation, and reassembly of engine cylinder heads.
• Responsible for the daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of the shop, tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Removal of valve train components from cylinder head core using appropriate tools.
• Use of welder to apply heat/leverage to remove valve seats from cylinder heads.
• Use of angle grinder, drills, and various metallic cleaning tools to remove carbon/paint from cylinder heads.
• Operation of parts washer and ultrasonic machine to remove build up/debris.
• Utilization of measuring tools to include micrometers, calipers, ball gauges to perform pre-machine inspections.
• Perform repair to cylinder head casting or thread repair.
• Use of automotive hydraulic press to remove and install new valve train components.
• Use of digital programs to input data for tracking.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned shop area, tools, equipment, and machinery.
• All other duties assigned.
