Technician Shop Apprentice
About The Position
Bob Johnson Auto Group is looking for motivated Automotive Technician Apprentices to join our team at both of our collision shop locations. This is a great opportunity for a C-Level Technician who is looking to grow their skills, work alongside an experienced A-Level Technician, and build a solid foundation for a long-term career in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of vehicles, a strong willingness to learn, and a positive attitude. This position is designed for someone who wants hands-on experience, guidance from skilled technicians, and the chance to continue developing in a supportive shop environment.
Requirements
- Basic automotive knowledge
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Positive attitude and team-focused mindset
- Ability to follow directions and work safely
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Candidate must have a valid New York State driver's license to apply for this position.
Nice To Haves
- Experience disassembling vehicles is a definite plus
- Previous shop or vehicle teardown experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Assisting experienced technicians with vehicle repairs and teardown
- Learning proper repair procedures and shop processes
- Disassembling vehicles as needed
- Helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Following instructions and asking questions when needed
- Building technical skills through hands-on training and mentorship
