About The Position

As a Setup Technician, you'll play a critical role in keeping our production operation running efficiently and safely. You'll be responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and supporting converting equipment to minimize downtime, ensure product quality, and maximize production output. This is a hands-on position ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy solving problems and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 60 pounds unassisted.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • 1+ years of setup technician or machine setup experience.
  • Process control or production equipment experience.
  • Mechanical, maintenance, or industrial troubleshooting background.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and start converting equipment to support daily production schedules.
  • Prepare machines with the appropriate film, materials, and components needed for production.
  • Perform quality checks to verify proper machine setup and product specifications.
  • Operate production equipment when setup activities are complete and machines are running efficiently.
  • Identify and resolve basic machine issues to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor equipment performance and proactively address operational concerns.
  • Partner with maintenance, supervisors, and team leads when more advanced repairs are required.
  • Monitor gas tank levels and other equipment support systems to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.
  • Safely operate electric pallet jacks, roll lifts, hoists, and other material handling equipment.
  • Support a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist teammates and collaborate across shifts to keep production running smoothly.
