About The Position

The Machine Setter is responsible for performing machine and fixture change-overs and adjustments, inspecting first run parts, and conducting regular equipment preventative maintenance. This role involves coordinating work processes with the production supervisor and area operators, filling out log sheets and production tracking reports, and monitoring equipment to ensure the production line runs properly and meets standards. The Machine Setter also troubleshoots and repairs equipment problems, works closely with maintenance during breakdowns, performs LOTO on machines, and provides training and guidance to less experienced technicians and operators. Additionally, the setter maintains a clean and professional work area and may fill in for operators.

Responsibilities

Performs any necessary machine or fixture change-overs and adjustments.
Inspects first run parts and makes necessary equipment adjustments.
Performs regular and routine equipment PM.
Works with the production supervisor to coordinate the work processes and the area operators.
Fills out log sheets and production tracking reports.
Monitors the equipments and operation to insure the line is running properly and meeting standards; this includes insuring the line is properly stocked with parts and materials.
Works with co-workers to troubleshoot and repair equipment problems, working closely with maintenance during breakdown situations.
Performs LOTO on machines.
Fills in for operators and relieves for breaks.
Provides training, leadership, and guidance to new / less experienced set-up technicians and operators.
Maintains equipment, tools, and work area in a clean and professional manner.
Making request for any necessary parts, equipment, and tools.
Willingly performs any other duties that may be requested or assigned.
