Machine Setter/Operator 2nd & 3rd Shift
About The Position
RBC Aircraft Products, Inc located in Torrington, CT, is seeking Machine Set Up Operators for 2nd and 3rd shifts. This role involves setting up and operating various grinding machines (mechanical and CNC) and their robotic or automated accessories. The operator must follow established procedures to produce parts to specification, meet or exceed efficiency standards, and use basic hand tools and measuring equipment. Responsibilities also include reading/comprehending basic blueprints, completing production and quality documentation, and complying with internal quality systems. Attendance is an essential function of the position. Requirements
- Solid math skills (addition, subtraction, decimals to 5 places)
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to carry out complex, repetitive tasks
- Available to work overtime as needed
- Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs
- Ability to work on your feet for the entire shift
- Attendance at work is an essential function of the position
Nice To Haves
- Previous mechanical/manufacturing experience, particularly ID, OD, double disc or centerless grinding
Responsibilities
- Setting up and operating various grinding machines (mechanical and CNC) along with their robotic or automated accessories

- Use basic hand tools, measuring equipment including micrometer, caliper, indicator, etc.
- Read/comprehend basic blueprints
