About The Position

This role is for a Machine Operator on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. The operator will be responsible for setting up and maintaining equipment, operating assigned machinery, and ensuring a clean work environment throughout their shift. Key aspects include accurately completing production documentation, understanding basic equipment operations and troubleshooting, and performing additional tasks as needed, such as cross-training on other machines or in different areas.

Requirements

• Must have 3.0 attendance occurrences or less, no more than 1 active disciplinary action, and must have been in current position for at least 6 months.
• Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Practice good safety habits and have a good safety record.
• Practice good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
• Have and maintain good attendance.
• Practice good housekeeping at all times.
• Must be able to work with support groups to make sure lines are ready to start on time and minimized downtime.
• Must know product specifications and how to maintain correct specifications and lines speeds.
• Must be willing to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be willing to be flexible.
• Organization and written skills.
• General knowledge of computers.
• Must be willing to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be willing to work 8-12 hour shifts - standing.
• Must be willing to work in a production environment requiring safety glasses, hair/beard net, hearing protection, and rubber boots with safety toe.
• Must be willing to withstand cold and hot environments.

Responsibilities

• Setup and maintain equipment.
• Operate assigned equipment.
• Maintain a clean work environment throughout shift.
• Accurately complete all necessary production documentation where applicable.
• Know basic operations of assigned equipment and basic trouble-solving techniques.
• Perform additional tasks as needed to include, but not limited to cross training on other machines and/or in other areas.
• Sweep and clean area during and after shift.
