About The Position

API Heat Transfer is seeking individuals who are motivated to be part of a transformation. The company is undergoing a new mission, has new leadership, and is accelerating its path to Lean Cultural Change. The Operations Team is evolving into a Lean Management powerhouse. This Machine Repair Technician - 2nd Shift position is ideal for those who enjoy fixing things and want to contribute to a revitalized API.

Requirements

• High School degree or equivalent (required)
• 2-5 years Machine Repair experience (required)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Constant standing/walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and reaching.
• Ability to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolding, or stairs.
• Grasping, manipulating, or assembling objects with hands/fingers.
• Clear vision (near/far/peripheral) and hearing for safety.
• Must have necessary standard tools.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of construction and machine design prints.
• Knowledge of shop mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, dismantle, rebuild, and maintain machines and equipment throughout the plant.
• Diagnose equipment issues and determine appropriate repair methods.
• Perform installations, plan layouts, and move and work on machines or equipment with minimal supervision.
• Work to close tolerances and fabricate simple parts as needed.
• Perform general maintenance functions as directed by the supervisor.

• Starting wage $29.18/hour, with incremental increases to $31.48 after one year.
