About The Position

Woodward is hiring an experienced machine repair technician to support the production equipment at our Loves Park Campus. This position is a weekend shift (Friday – Sunday, 3:00pm – 3:30am) with training on 1st shift. This senior role is ideal for a proactive, skilled technician who excels at complex machine repairs and wants to contribute to high-reliability aerospace manufacturing at Woodward. Requirements

  • Proficiency with troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of manufacturing machinery, including CNC and Test equipment
  • Experience with performing preventative maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment
  • Solid troubleshooting skills
  • Strong ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings and repair manuals
  • Proficiency with using maintenance scheduling systems and other company database programs
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities
  • Problem-solving mindset with critical thinking skills
  • Willingness to embrace change and adapt to new environments
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. Person within the meaning of ITAR and EAR, or eligible to obtain all required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce.

  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems in machinery to determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Execute regular and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure optimal machine performance and minimize downtime.
  • Accurately record all repair and maintenance actions in the maintenance management system for tracking and compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with other technicians and departments to coordinate repair activities and share technical information.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations while performing repair and maintenance tasks to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Identifies and troubleshoots advanced mechanical and electrical problems in machinery using comprehensive technical knowledge.
  • Executes intricate repair tasks on equipment, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
  • Provides guidance and support to less experienced team members, acting as an informal resource for troubleshooting and technical procedures.
  • Creates and refines maintenance protocols to enhance equipment reliability and improve team efficiency.
