About The Position

As a Machine Repair Tech III at Moog, you'll be at the forefront of maintaining and improving the machinery that powers the production of world-class aerospace and defense technologies. From troubleshooting intricate mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control systems to supporting new equipment installations and global training initiatives, this role offers a unique opportunity to combine technical expertise, continuous learning, and meaningful impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment. A typical candidate would currently be a CNC Field Service Engineer or Technician for an OEM or Machine Tool Distributor, or an in-house Lead CNC Maintenance Technician, or have significant experience in industrial controls.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Associates Degree in Electrical Technologies or related skilled-trades degree is highly desired
  • 5 years’ experience as a repair technician, machinist, or other skilled-trades related experience as well as some CNC repair experience
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge to perform various machine maintenance related tasks, including but not limited to: complex CNC repairs, machine installations, preventive and predictive maintenance, material handling, rigging, forklift operation, drum and hazardous waste handling

Responsibilities

  • Effectively and safely troubleshoot and repair complex machinery in a team or single worker environment, this includes extremely precise alignments in multiple planes on advanced equipment in often awkward ergonomic positions
  • Support Moog East Aurora production requirements; work to maintain and repair machinery in an effective and timely manner
  • Utilize the CMMS system (Maximo) to effectively document work logs, inventory usage, and hours worked
  • Maintain personal PC related skills as new software is released and implemented.
  • Stay current on new machine technologies through OEM and other training as required
  • Travel both domestically and internationally to support machine acquisitions and training
  • Must follow all applicable safety standards, including but not limited to Lock-Out Tag-Out, NFPA 70E, and Hazardous Material Handling
