About The Position

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson Foods will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment. Pay is $21.50 Hours are from 5:30 AM - 3:30 PM To set up and operate efficiently, all product forming and cooking equipment on the lines which they have received training while following all company policy and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must have held a position for six (6) months within the past twenty four (24) months with same employer.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends when required.
  • Must be willing and able to lift up to 80lbs when required.
  • Must be willing and able to work in environment with extreme temperatures ranging from 39F to 90F.
  • Basic math skills to include adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.

Responsibilities

  • The Machine Operator is responsible for the set up and operation of cooking equipment.
  • Assemble and dismantle all equipment.
  • Monitor and ensure product quality making adjustments when necessary to maintain product specifications.
  • Perform the necessary wash down procedures when needed.
  • Inspect the equipment prior to set up for cleanliness and possible mechanical deficiencies.
  • Troubleshoot machinery and keep supervisor and maintenance informed of any machinery which needs to be repaired.
  • Complete all QA checks and documentation accurately to include completion of paperwork.
  • Read and interpret work instructions and to adhere to all GMP standards and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain and submit proper paperwork including downtime sheets, weight sheets, raw material usage sheets, product loss forms, and updated specification sheets and HACCP documentation.
  • Learn and follow all safety procedures related to the set up and operation of the equipment, including the lock-out/ tag-out procedure.
  • Assure that batch, resource, and product change overs are segregated and marked.
  • Report all possible deficiencies that could compromise food safety.
