About The Position

This position is responsible for operating and monitoring Pacific packaging machinery to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production operations. The role involves working in a refrigerated environment with temperatures ranging from 28°F to 45°F, around moving machinery in a fast-paced production setting. Team members may be required to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift. Overtime, weekends, and flexible scheduling may be required based on operational needs.

Requirements

  • 6 points or less with no suspensions in last 12 months will be considered.
  • New hires must complete their initial 90-day probationary period.
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform machine startup procedures, including verifying gas and oxygen settings and loading appropriate production programs.
  • Gather and organize production supplies, including film and scavenger materials, for operational use.
  • Clean rollers, jaws, and other machine components while following established safety procedures and using required protective equipment.
  • Monitor and adjust machine guides to maintain proper alignment and product quality.
  • Observe film feed, blade cutting, sealing functions, and machine timing to identify and address operational issues or jams.
  • Conduct burst testing and other quality checks as required.
  • Assist with product rework and general production support activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of scavenger and work areas throughout the shift.
  • Support packaging operations by assisting packers with labels, box lines, and workflow needs.
  • Inspect trays and production lines for defects and remove non-conforming materials prior to processing.
  • Verify product dates and labeling accuracy to ensure compliance with production standards.
  • Communicate equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or production issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Follow all company safety policies, food safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
