About The Position
Workplace Modular Systems (WMS) has been engineering and manufacturing industrial workspace solutions in Londonderry, New Hampshire since 1950. WMS engineers the physical infrastructure of modern manufacturing, serving demanding facilities in electronics, semiconductor, robotics, aerospace & defense, EV, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. WMS is looking for a Machine Operator to join their fabrication team. In this role, you will primarily operate press brake machinery to accurately form metal components, primarily cold-rolled and stainless-steel materials, in support of the production schedule. You will also operate other fabrication equipment as needed. Responsibilities include maintaining part quality, meeting daily output goals, and working safely alongside your team in a manufacturing environment. On-the-job training is available, and candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience operating manufacturing machines
- Solid shop math skills and the ability to adjust clearances and machine parameters.
- Ability to read and understand work orders and blueprints.
- Strong attendance, punctuality, and initiative.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive movements, and lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- High school diploma or GED; or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently operate press brake and other machinery in a safe manner for yourself and others.
- Perform self-inspection on the first produced part and verify quality throughout the production run.
- Read and interpret work orders and blueprints to set up and run jobs correctly.
- Adjust controls, parameters, and clearances as needed to hold tight tolerances.
- Meet daily and weekly production targets in accordance with written and verbal production instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Cross-train and work in areas as assigned, adapting to workload demands and production priorities throughout the facility.
