About The Position

Sauder Manufacturing Co. is hiring a Machine Operator I to set up and operate machines using repeatable processes and a minimal process mix. The position operates various machines and tools, may perform setup and changeovers, troubleshoots problems, uses basic measurement tools, and reads work orders. At the Archbold location, work areas include Hot Press & Finger Jointer, Radial Bending & Planer, Clamp Carrier/Molder, Sanding Benches, and Veneer Cutting. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday. The posting lists first shift as 7:00 AM–3:00 PM and second shift as 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. The employee works on the shop floor in production and may need to wear eye and ear protection. The role requires regular lifting, maneuvering, and positioning of products weighing up to 50 pounds, along with standing, walking, bending, and lifting overhead during the shift. Requirements

Attention to fine detail; must be detail-oriented.
Regularly lift, maneuver, and position products weighing up to 50 pounds.
Stand, walk, bend, and lift overhead for extended periods, including up to eight hours at a time as described in the physical demands section.
Read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions.
Use basic hand tools.

Nice To Haves
