About The Position

The Machine Operator works in the Canning plant and operates production machines safely. The role includes maneuvering around magnets while production is running, ensuring machines are correctly lined up and traffic is clear, following safety policies and GMPs, maintaining a clean work environment, understanding food safety requirements under SQF and USDA, and completing a Daily Maintenance Form. Other duties may be assigned. Hours are 6:30 AM–4:30 PM.

Requirements

• Ability to safely operate machines.
• Working understanding of food safety requirements outlined in SQF and USDA.

Responsibilities

• Safely turn machines off and on.
• Safely run and maneuver around magnets while production is running.
• Use caution when operating machines in the Canning plant; ensure they are correctly lined up and traffic is clear.
• Remain aware of surroundings and fellow employees throughout the workday and follow safety policies and GMPs to help avoid accidents.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Understand food safety requirements outlined in SQF and USDA.
• Complete the Daily Maintenance Form.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
