About The Position
SIG is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. This role involves loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the plant, yard, or worksite. The primary goal is to maximize safety, quality, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). The position operates on a 12-hour rotating day shift. The company reserves the right to add or modify responsibilities as deemed necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D required.
- Ability to work safely and follow Regulatory and Company Policies and Guidelines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Focused on details and accuracy of reporting.
- Ability to be flexible and multitasking.
- Positive attitude, cooperative nature, and leadership qualities.
- Able to communicate clearly and decisively to team members and to the next shift.
- Good understanding of product lines.
Nice To Haves
- Technical or mechanical skills preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lifting, packaging parts and labelling properly.
- Issuing parts to LN Work Orders using the FIFO (First in First Out) method.
- Reporting Lots Complete on the FG parts coming from injection mold.
- Meeting the hourly/daily production target on each machine.
- Applying labels to finished product and migrating them to their designated area of inventory.
- Rotating and organizing inventory inside the department.
- Ensuring that machine hoppers stay filled with correct parts.
- Pulling Assembly samples for the QC laboratory every 4 hours.
- Performing visual inspection of parts.
- Ensuring 5S & Housekeeping is conducted before, during and after each shift.
- Following management Systems, Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Complying with all OSHA, Fire Safety, EPA and other regulatory guidelines and rules.
- Complying with all Company Operations, Personnel, Safety and Environmental policies.
- Flexibility to work in various departments according to the daily production plan.
- Performing inspection activities on the production line as necessary.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
