About The Position

The Machine Operator – CNC & Multi Cam supports safe, efficient, and uninterrupted plant operations by operating specialized CNC and Multi Cam equipment to prepare materials accurately for production. The role also manages inventory for materials and components processed within the assigned work area, coordinates material movement according to production needs, and maintains equipment and inventory accuracy. The position reports to the Receiving Supervisor.

Requirements

Ability to safely operate or learn to operate CNC and Multi Cam equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to develop advanced technical knowledge.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance and recognize equipment abnormalities.
Experience operating a forklift or willingness to obtain required certification.
Strong attention to detail, measurement accuracy, and quality.
Ability to manage inventory and maintain accurate records.
Ability to prioritize work based on production needs.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with production, materials, leadership, and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

Safely set up, operate, and monitor CNC and Multi Cam equipment to prepare materials to quality and production standards.
Interpret production requirements, machine instructions, measurements, and specifications to process materials correctly.
Manage inventory for assigned materials and prepared components by monitoring quantities, maintaining organization, and supporting inventory accuracy.
Coordinate with materials teams so the correct items are available where and when needed.
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to transport, stage, and store materials safely throughout the facility.
Perform preventive maintenance on CNC and Multi Cam equipment.
Inspect equipment and identify mechanical, operational, or safety concerns.
Troubleshoot routine machine and material issues and communicate concerns requiring further maintenance or technical support.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with plant safety and 6S expectations.
Accurately complete production, maintenance, inventory, and material-movement documentation.
Participate in technical education and hands-on training to develop machine knowledge and operating skills and remain current on equipment requirements.
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for equipment and materials managed in the assigned area.
