About The Position

As a CPI Machine Operator you will occupy a key role in working with and for a company that builds the physical infrastructure that powers, protects and secures the world’s digital technology. Day to day, you will be responsible for setting up and operating standard machines in the sheet metal area. Responsible for meeting safety, quality and productivity expectations.

Responsibilities

Sets up and operates equipment including loading/unloading material.
Inspects and maintains equipment for compliance with safety requirements, including but not limited to all guarding.
Corrects any safety issues prior to operating the equipment.
Inspects parts per work in process inspection procedure.
Resolves quality and mechanical problems, making minor repairs and equipment adjustments, as needed.
Requisitions material from warehouse, when necessary.
Inspects material for shipping damage and/or supplier defects.
Maintains machine and tooling clean and in good shape.
Works from blueprints, engineering specifications and production schedules.
May operate forklift, as related to loading/unloading material on equipment.
Continuously maintains a clean work area.
Disposes of trash, production scrap and material drop-off.
Assists in cleaning common areas.
Performs other related duties, as assigned by management.
