About The Position

This is a very exciting time for the team as we continue to grow and expand! The main challenge is to stay organized in a fast-paced environment and effectively coaching production staff while demonstrating consistency and follow-through. However, this provides you with the opportunity to support, maintain, and achieve high-quality standards for manufacturing the products.

Requirements

  • Degree in Food Science or related discipline.
  • Experience working in a similar capacity, preferably in a food production facility.
  • Knowledge of standards (BRC, SQF or FSSC 22000)
  • Understand HACCP concepts and processes (training in HACCP)
  • Intermediate level Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
  • Strong technical skills and understanding of machinery operation.
  • Basic knowledge of troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and machine manuals.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Multi-tasker who prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Meticulous, process-driven, and uber-organized with a keen eye for detail.
  • Great communicator who can easily get along and work with different personalities.
  • Able to lead, instruct, and communicate company and regulatory standards to employees.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Nimco machinery or Fogg line or bagger (such as pumps, valves, or other equipment) according to the operational guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Ensure that the machinery is set up and calibrated properly for the specific production requirements.
  • Adjust machine settings (e.g., speed, pressure, temperature) to ensure optimal performance during production.
  • Monitor machine outputs to ensure they meet the required quality and safety standards.
  • Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet specifications, making adjustments when necessary.
  • Record and report any product defects or deviations from production standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, including machine settings, production quantities, and downtime.
  • Document maintenance and repair activities, tracking the performance and history of each machine.
  • Report any issues, equipment malfunctions, or production delays to supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the proper loading of raw materials into the machine, ensuring that materials are correctly prepared for processing.
