About The Position

The Machine Operator (Operator I) safely and accurately maintains a single extrusion production line, completes SAP transactions and quality checks, and supports the Operator II and Process Technician. The role contributes to the team’s safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement activities while following Pregis best practices.

The position includes production reporting, product inspections and measurements according to standard operating procedures, support during line startup, changeovers, and shutdowns, and routine housekeeping. The Operator I also helps train and develop the Assistant Operator.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of manufacturing-related experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• ERP knowledge.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to adapt to change.

Nice To Haves

• SAP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow Pregis safety rules and ensure teammates adhere to Pregis safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure production reporting is complete and accurate.
• Verify that quality products are being produced.
• Inspect and measure extruded items and products according to the applicable SOP.
• Support the Operator II and Process Technician during startup, changeover, and shutdown as needed.
• Maintain at least one production line in a support role to the Operator II.
• Train and develop the Assistant Operator.
• Perform routine housekeeping to keep material storage and use areas neat and orderly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
