About The Position

Kenny's Candy & Confections is hiring a Day Shift Machine Operator to operate and maintain packaging machine and scale equipment and package product into required finished products. On the utility line, the operator may repackage product into shippers or trays. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:40 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The stated all-in hourly compensation is $21.12, comprising $19.90 base pay and a sign-on bonus of $1.22 per hour worked. Profit-sharing eligibility begins after one year of employment. KLN Family Brands reported paying more than $7.7 million into its employee profit-sharing pool in 2025. Employment is contingent on a satisfactory background check and drug test; an offer is not final until both results are satisfactory to the employer.

Requirements

Good attendance record.
Experience or training of one month or more.
Self-motivated.
Ability to learn, memorize, and execute a sequence of procedures.
Willingness to work well with others.
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
Firm grasp of manufacturing and quality processes.
Basic computer skills.
Good communication skills.
Satisfactory background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

Inspect all equipment used for sanitation and food safety.
Operate packaging machine equipment.
Set up processing and production equipment, including packaging machines, printers, and tapers.
Retrieve the formers and film or boxes needed for production.
Report material or equipment problems to the production supervisor.
Perform all required tests.
Complete required paperwork.
Ensure all employees are logged into the shop order and enter production into IFS.
Communicate with the warehouse, quality control, cooks, and other operators about remaining production.
Complete orders according to the production schedule and supervisors' direction.
Operate and maintain packaging machine and scale equipment; bag product into required finished products and, when working the utility line, repackage product into shippers or trays.
