Machine Operator - Day Shift

About The Position

The Machine Operator manufactures high-quality, low-cost pipe according to manufacturing specification sheets while working efficiently and maintaining NOV quality and safety measures. The role involves operating production equipment, understanding how product specifications affect machine setup and finished product, maintaining a clean and orderly work area, and completing scheduled tasks with minimal supervision. The operator follows company, health, safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures, uses safe work practices and appropriate personal protective equipment, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to read pressure gauges.
Ability to read labels on pipe and specifications on paper.
Ability to work overtime and shift work as required.
Good vision for safe operation of a forklift.
Ability to stand, walk, bend or stoop, perform repetitive movements such as shoveling, sweeping, and fastening, and push or pull for up to 12 hours daily.
Ability to regularly lift weights up to 50 pounds.
Use recommended safe work habits and all provided safety equipment.
MDA-required physical clearance.

Ability to read, write, and speak English is preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate the winding machine.
Run the DSC machine.
Operate the extractor cart.
Operate an impact gun.
Use measuring equipment.
Operate the mix station.
Understand product specifications and how they relate to machine setup and the product.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Complete tasks according to manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision.
Use safe work habits and wear appropriate PPE.
Comply with NOV company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Comply with HSE policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Comply with quality policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Assist where and when needed, including assisting with on-the-job training for employees as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
