The role involves carrying out production, inspection, and machine operation duties, with a focus on setting up and monitoring cold press heading machinery, making mechanical adjustments, and ensuring materials are available. The Machine Operator will also assist shop technicians and the materials clerk, perform assigned duties, maintain a safe workspace, and use basic hand tools and measuring equipment.

Requirements

Able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. and work an eight-hour work shift

Mechanical aptitude

Responsibilities

Carry out production, inspection, and machine operation duties
Set up cold press heading machinery and ensure all materials are readily available
Make mechanical adjustments to machines for proper part configuration
Effectively monitor production equipment
Assist the shop technicians and materials clerk as necessary
Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management
Maintain a safe and clean workspace
Use basic hand tools and measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers to the thousands of an inch
Follow established safety rules and regulations
