As a Machine Operator, you’ll be part of our Holliston, MA team. You’ll get to: Participates in and actively supports corporate programs and initiatives; understands, supports and upholds Company policies and procedures. Uses judgement to plan, perform, make decisions and improvements as to the sequence of operations and processes in coordination with other departments. Collaborates with other Dept Leads/Supervisors to coordinate daily production needs. Inspects first piece of raw material, work in process (WIP) and all fabricated parts. Reads and interprets blueprints checking parts to prints to ensure that parts are manufactured to the specifications. Reviews and interprets job aids and shop orders. Uses measuring instruments, such as verniers and gauges, to measure material; make necessary adjustments to ensure quality parts. Performs math calculations, to correctly setup machine. Reads, interprets, and completes routine paperwork; records proper information to ensure accuracy of inventory. Requests additional material and assignments when necessary. When problems arise, independently contact the appropriate work areas for support. Performs or assists with preventive maintenance of equipment. Performs other duties as required or directed.

Requirements

  • Significant knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes such as punching, bending, welding
  • Solid mechanical ability and prior machine operator experience
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints which are in English and operate basic measuring instruments
  • Ability to use hand, air, and electric powered tools and drive material moving equipment
  • Ability to set up machine and tooling
  • Working knowledge of tooling and fixtures within equipment
  • Ability to work with engineering team to execute prototypes if needed
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be able to continuously walk/stand 4 – 12 hours daily
  • Must be able to perform frequent lifting up to 33 lbs. independently and more with equipment assistance
  • Must be able to frequently push/pull product on carts, racks, pallets, and shelves
