About The Position

Performs duties to support and has primary responsibility for machines in multiple work centers, including but not limited to, setting up, adjusting, and operating various machines and equipment to ensure a quality product (as defined by Peterson Farms quality standards) is shipped to the customer per product orders and other customer and company requirements.

Requirements

Ability to set up, adjust, and operate various machines and equipment.
Understanding of quality standards.
Ability to complete paperwork accurately and legibly.
Attention to detail for order verification.
Good communication skills.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Plant rules.
Ability to meet daily production requirements.

Responsibilities

Conducts pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working order.
Monitors equipment to ensure proper operation and notifies maintenance when machine operation variances impact product and/or process flow.
Completes appropriate paperwork timely, accurately and legibly.
Verifies accuracy of orders to ensure correct quantities are being packaged together for shipment to customers.
Works within and maintains specified quality standards to ensure a quality product is shipped to all customers and makes appropriate notifications when quality standards are out of specification.
May assist with waste weighing and data collection.
Communicates with various levels of the organization to ensure a quality product is being produced in the most efficient, safe manner.
Maintains safety and cleanliness of work area by performing various housekeeping duties, including following Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Plant rules.
May be involved in continuous improvement efforts.
Meets daily production requirements.
Completes appropriate paperwork.
All other duties assigned.
