About The Position

This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process. The operator will ensure proper ingredients and supplies are being used on the line, monitor and adjust machine settings as needed, and notify a supervisor if machines require maintenance. The role also involves maintaining a safe work environment, adhering to Tyson policies and procedures, learning the new EIM System, using hand-held scanners, and performing other assigned duties. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn, including steel-toed shoes, a bump cap, and hearing protection.

Requirements

Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs. necessary when dumping bags of spice.
Must be willing and able to push/pull of 80 lb. film in cart to machine.
Must use torso flexion of 0-45 degrees while handling spice.
Must use full bilateral extension of arms.
Must use bilateral full hand grasp when performing checks for code dates.
Must stand at all times in all workstations.
Must use both hands simultaneously when performing this job.
Must be able to work in areas that could range between 38 and 50 degrees temperatures and at times conditions could be wet.
Have no more than 4 attendance points at time of application.
Have had no suspensions within the past 12 months.
Have no more than 2 written warnings in the last 12 months.
Have no lateral, downward, or self-disqualification unless for higher classification for the past 6 months.
New TM’s still in 30 days of probationary period are not eligible to bid.
Probationary TM’s bidding after their first 30 days, must have no more than 2 points.
