About The Position
This position is responsible for operating the Box Machine, verifying using the correct label. Clean work area, communicating with management and co-workers and processing paperwork necessary to position. This position will be exposed to hot or cold work environment, wet conditions, slippery floors in some areas, concrete floors and noise levels that are loud enough to require hearing protection. Must be willing to lift, push, pull up to 40 lbs and stand for up to 8 to 12 hours. Box Machine Operator is responsible for loading cardboard into the box machine, stacking lids and bottoms that are made by the Box Machine, adding glue chips to the glue hot box while using the correct PPE, using LOTO procedures when removing stuck cardboard and when cleaning the box machine, using the power jack to move pallets of cardboard and salt bags and stacking wooden pallets. Other duties include rotating both machines, keeping work area clean and clear of debris. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of continuous work history within the past 2 years
- Minimum 3 months operating machinery in a processing/factory environment
- Willing to take and pass forklift operation certification
- Willing to take and pass Lock out tag out certification
