About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for the set up and operation of machines in the designated department. This role involves running material through machines according to company specifications, ensuring correct materials are used to meet customer specifications, and maintaining accurate inventory entries. The operator must inspect and maintain product quality, meet all quality and efficiency standards, and adhere to all company safety policies. They are also responsible for reporting any concerns related to required machine maintenance and assisting in two-man feeds as necessary. Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Knowledge of equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation
Read and interpret product layout and production specifications
Machine operator experience preferred; strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting
Ability to follow detailed instructions including reading a tape measure, blueprints, production schematics
Team-oriented and self-directed

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing experience in the corrugated industry preferred

Responsibilities
