About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for the set up and operation of machines in the designated department. This role requires adherence to company specifications, quality standards, and safety policies. The operator will also be responsible for inventory accuracy and assisting with specific operational tasks as needed. Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Knowledge of equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation
• Read and interpret product layout and production specifications
• Machine operator experience preferred; strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting
• Ability to follow detailed instructions including reading a tape measure, blueprints, production schematics
• Team-oriented and self-directed

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing experience in the corrugated industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up and operation of various machines
• Run material through machine according to company specifications
• Ensure correct materials are used to meet customer specifications
• Ensure all inventory entries are complete and accurate
• Inspect and maintain quality of product
• Responsible for meeting all quality and efficiency standards
• Meet all company safety policies and report any concerns related to required maintenance of machines
• Assist in two man feeds as necessary
